So I recently graduated from law school - YAY! It was a long time coming and I'm totally excited to be done, but being done means that I completely broke and had to move back with my parents.  I did my degree outside Canada which means I have to write some accredidation exams before I can even write the Bar exam and being to be an actual lawyer.

In the meantime I went back to my old job at the bank. Which I hate. I've been doing it for about 7 years (on and off while in school) and it just never changes - different faces, same complaints and issues. But now that I've been an Arashian for the past year, I figure I should infuse some Stormy pride into my day in order to get through it. Like word associations. Someone starts talking about the news, I think - Sho the caster...wonder what suit he wore this week *drool*.  Customer talks about fishing during the summer - duh, Oh-chan. Customer starts complaining...well I just think about how I'd rather be out with friends or home rewatching the AnS episode where the boys played with balloons...makes me laugh every time.

I Heart My Fandom

Today marks the one year anniversary to when my Arashi obsession started.  I'll admit, I was Jun-baited in, but now after one year of rainbow crack, I can say that I'm truly a huge fan of each member. They each bring such a unique quality to the group that I don't know how you can help but love them. It may sound silly, but they really have inspired to me to try harder in so many things.

But, none of this would be possible if it weren't for this absolutely amazing fandom that surrounds Arashi. The translators, subbers, uploaders, scanners, music rippers, graphics artists, community moderators and members...I always find it so great that people take time out of their busy lives to help other fans.

Thank you to all of you who have allowed me to become an Arashian! In their 10th year I hope they become bigger and stronger as a group and with their fans.

This man is not 28. Is he?

It's true what Nino said - Ohno seems to be getting younger every year. Otanjoubi Omedetou Captain ♥ ♥ ♥

It's things like this that keep making me realize that I don't think I really have an ichiban anymore! It started out as Jun (I'm Jun-bait...couldn't help it). Then went straight to Sho (Keio-Chipmunk-Sports-loser-rapper...an irresistable combination) and then next thing you know I was squealing over Aiba, Ohno and Nino-chan, in that order. But damn it, how do you not fall for them?

I'm finally catching up with my Arashi dramas. Just finished Stand Up!! Which reinforced my Narimiya Hiroki love that started when I watched Honey & Clover. And right now I'm in the middle of KCE so I think that should about cover it for the subbed dramas except for Kimi wa Petto (can't seem to find it...).

The past few magazine spreads have just been...wow. I need another source for these magazines other than eBay! They're available some places in Canada, but I can never seem to find the ones I'm looking for.

Other than that it's quiet since exam time is starting up. Then I'll be home again for the holidays and then one more semester and I'll be DONE! April seems so close yet so far...sigh.

A Day in my life...

I ripped the remix of Arashi's A Day in Our Life performance from back in 2006 when Aiba-chan was the guest on Shounen Club Premium. I can't get enough of this song and all its different performances and mixes. I want to go to a concert one day just so I can sing (or scream more like it) the whole thing through...ok, maybe just the chorus.  Here's the MF link to the song...

I FINALLY finished watching Haikei, Chichiue-sama the other day (even though I had a big exam the next day...couldn't help it) and I loved it! A couple people had told me that it was a little slow compared to other dramas, but I think that's the charm of the drama. It's not completely focused on the main character, and not everything works perfectly and you're left with questions as to what happens with some of the charcters. But still, the acting was great (I've yet to watch anything of Nino's that I don't like) and story was well done, and I'm a sucker for photography and cinematography in movies and dramas and they also did a beautiful job with the black and white photos during the credits. Like these two:

How adorable is he in these two!?

I'm currently getting addicted to drama OSTs. It started with Maou (as it should) and now I'm trying to search back for past dramas I've seen. There's aren't that many since I've only started watching J-Dramas since about the beginning of the year, but my collection is growing. Any suggestions?

...and the countdown to Ryusei no Kizuna continues...!

Make no mistake - there is only one true Riida...

After watching AnS 103 just a little while ago, I'm still not over it. There needs to be more Aiba/Jun moments O_O. But the latest one caught my attention enough to want to make a post about it. If not for anything but the hair...oh Jun...

You know you're an Arashi addict when...

This is my first post on LJ and I didn't think I'd ever come to do it mainly because I didn't think I had anything really to write about. I used my account just to find other people with Arashi-related interests, but just the other day something happened that made me laugh out loud and want to write about it - whether or not people read it.

I became an Arashi fan (read: obsessed fangirl) just around February after watching Hanadan and trying to find out just who this hot Domyouji was! Of course then I found Arashi and all the amazing subbers out there who take time to translate and sub so many things and it was pure love from then on.

So last week I was at home with my little cousins and they were running around and being the little crazy munchkins that they are and so we started dancing around to a bunch of songs on DVD they begged me to play. And of course, being kids, and me attempting to still be one, we started spinning around in circles. After about the 5th spin I got dizzy and in the midst of us all laughing I wondered to myself - "what would happen if we spun around one way and then immediately started spinning the other way, would we not get dizzy and be able to walk straight?". I laughed to myself and thought "what an A no Arashi sort of thought! I wish Aiba would do something like that!"

Just yesterday I watched episode 100 of D no Arashi that the awesome Becky at Taijiprojectsubs did this past week. And what do you think I saw at the end of the episode as a preview for episode 101?? AIBA AND SHO SPINNING!!! And they were doing the A no Arashi experiment I thought up! I couldn't stop laughing at myself.

What's funnier is that now I'm starting to think like Aiba...although that's also a little scary!
